Ridiculously Easy to Follow Weight loss Tips
Contents
Anyone trying to lose today will know just how hard it is. The availability of easy to access but otherwise damaging foods causes us to eat more and more. The stress of our day-to-day lives often means that we turn to food time and time again for comfort and support. This, though, creates that vicious cycle: we eat to get by, but we get unhappy because we are gaining weight. So we add weight gain to our list of problems, and become even more unhappy. This causes us to eat more and more, creating a cycle which is impossible to escape from.
If you feel like you are in this situation, then we recommend that you follow along with some of the following weight loss tips. These should make it much easier for you to start caring for your bod a bit more. Crucially, though, it should help you to make some intelligent decisions on lifestyle changes.
Just remember that if you wish to get into good shape and lost that weight, you need to change your diet first. No amount of exercise can compensate for a lazy diet. What, though, could help you lost weight in a timely manner?
Begin by breaking your fast
For many of us, skipping breakfast is easy. And some of us even believe that by skipping breakfast we are doing our body a favor. That, though, could not be further from the truth. Eating a breakfast is not just essential to your quality of life: it’s essential to your quality of weight loss.
You see, eating your breakfast means that you will get your body started up for the day. It gets the metabolism into action. Not eating breakfast will not help with weight loss, so don’t start skipping your most important meal of the day for nothing!
Most breakfast options out there which are good for us are often loaded with nutrients, too. You can easily enjoy your breakfast in the morning if you make it from a wholesome range of ingredients. This allows for you to enjoy a more productive morning as your body uses that energy you just created, and ensures you use the metabolic boost to help get your body to burn off more calories.
Cutting down on portion sizes is a good starting point if you want to help reduce feeling bagged-up post-breakfast.
Eat more often, not less
Sure, it might sound like a paradox – but it is 100% true. If you want to get into better shape, then you have to start eating more regularly. Eating at regular times during the day and using smaller portions is better than the breakfast/lunch/dinner that most of us live by. If you eat smaller portions of food on regular intervals, your body has to go into ‘furnace mode’ and starts burning off calories faster.
Instead of making your body do this three times a day, up that to five. Have five smaller meals in the day, with portions limited. It will help you to cut down on the snacking need many of us have, and it will also help you to ensure that you get your body in fat burning mode ASAP. It can be very powerful, actually, and is definitely something that you should put in place.
Don’t miss out on fluids
While not all of the time, some of the times that we feel hungry is down to dehydration. Our bod might just need some water to get us over that temporary funk that we feel. If you are someone who is worried about their weight gain, then start replacing snacks with water instead. Start drinking more water as it will make a big difference in helping you to determine if that feeling was indeed hunger or just thirst.
If you find that you are simply thirsty, you have avoided taking in needless calories. Often, most of the time a nice glass of water will help to re-sharpen the mind for the challenging afternoon ahead. This is why you should always keep your fluid count as high as you can: if you aren’t drinking enough fluids, you will compensate by eating in excess.
Avoid food bans
The body wants what the mind tells it that it cannot have. If you start banning foods and treating your body, you will always fall off the wagon – and fall off hard. Instead of banning foods, simply work towards making your body healthier in general. Life is for living, and you should be able to enjoy the odd ‘cheat’ or treat: so long as you care for your body along the rest of the day, you can enjoy something special and made just for you.
The worst thing to do though is to ban everything. Food bans produce only the desire for more, more and more. Naturally, you should want to avoid such a mistake. Take the time, then, to look at the kind of food that you eat. If you need to limit intake of something unhealthy, do it: if you ban it, though, you’ll make yourself feel terrible and crave I anyway.
Stop buying deals on snacks
However, by the same token, the single biggest weight loss aid you could do is stop paying attention to supermarket deals. Yes, you could get those extra six bars of chocolate for only an extra pound … but we all know what happens. When we have an excess of anything, we use it in excess. We go wild. Then, when we get through that three week supply in two weeks due to our gluttony, we go and buy more!
Instead of allowing yourself to do this, stop stocking up using deals. Snacks and junk food like chocolate, biscuits and crisps come in deals all the time, but don’t fall for the temptation. Get yourself out of that mind-set, and you can before long start making much greater progress with your overall weight loss aims, ambitions and needs moving forward.
