Strengthen Immune System with Vitamins and Minerals

As for the immune system, the primary things you want to keep in mind are vitamins and minerals are those that’s considered to be antioxidant. The list includes vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E. beta-carotine is also considered an important antioxidant.

As for minerals, selenium is a major mineral that’s considered antioxidant. Zinc is another mineral can can effect your immune system. So want to make sure in considering these particular vitamins and minerals, if you have a problem with your immune system for example you recently suffered from cold or flu or if your somebody that does get sick frequently.

It would a good idea to get yourself a multivitamin and multi-mineral supplement that has about a hundred percent of these major vitamins and minerals. You don’t want to rely strictly on your vitamins supplement or your mineral supplement because it should be just that. It should supplement your diet, it shouldn’t take the place of a healthy diet.

As far as your diet is concerned to get these particular vitamins and minerals through your food. You want to make sure your getting a variety of fruits and vegetable. You want as many different colors as you can get over a weeks time. Each color basically signifies a different type of nutrients and antioxidant in it. So eat as many different type of colors as you can over the week.

It’s o.k to use frozen fruits and vegetable. The way that their process these days is they actually are harvested when at their ripest and fresh frozen so they don’t lose any of their nutrients. Can vegetables tend to have less vitamins in them than the fresh and frozen varieties. Stick to fresh and frozen when it comes to your fruits and vegetables as far as getting those vitamins and minerals to help build your immune system.
